Sources: Wopa Esport Will Get A New Investor And Sponsor
Per sources Christian Eriksen will join fellow footballer Simon Kjær's esport adventure as an investor. The sponsor will be STATE Energy, where Eriksen is an ambassador.
STATE Energy is a Danish sports drink company, who have Danish athletes as ambassadors of their products which include athletes such as Rasmus Højlund, Caroline Wozniacki, Holger Rune, and many others.
Christian Eriksen was one of the first ambassadors of STATE Energy, he was announced on October 19th in 2017. Currently Christian Eriksen owns 10-15% of the company.
The sources did not mention a specific monetary amount State Energy and Christian Eriksen will invest in Wopa Esport, however they mentioned that it was “a considerable amount”. One source mentioned Wopa Esport could possibly rebrand and/or rename their organization to integrate State in their name.
